The concept “beauty of the Lord” appears in Psalms 90:17. Beauty is an architectural terms that speaks of the presentation of things seen, heard, tasted or even experienced. But God is spirit. The beauty of the Lord relates to His moral and ethical character. James says in Him is no variableness nor shadow of turning. In OT, the beauty of the Lord was expressed in the symmetry and colors of the tabernacle coordinated with the clothing of the priests. This was a visual expression of invisible attributes. It is the character and the sovereignty of God expressed in the creature and creation that is a beautiful thing!
